A creative operating system
Everything a project needs before execution — briefed, researched, directed, scheduled and invoiced in one place.

01 The problem
A single project gets planned across a dozen apps that don't talk to each other. Every restart is a redesign of the puzzle instead of placing the pieces.
02 The idea
A restaurant prepares your whole dish in one kitchen. Why wouldn't we.
The Prep Room is the kitchen before the kitchen. Execution still happens in Affinity, DaVinci, Premiere — nothing great gets cooked without prep.
03 The structure
A YouTube video, a brand identity and a comic book share one spine. They only branch at Stage 4.
Each stage closes with a report: what was agreed, the feedback, the changes — and the do-nots.
04 The interface
Studio opens on what is in flight, what ships next, and what is under pressure. No dashboard archaeology.
Pressure is a per-project score — deadline proximity, open stages and revision load rolled into one number you can override by hand.

Pulled from deadlines, invoice status and the unified inbox.
05 Stage 01
What you type in the briefing form is the same data that fills the contract header, the invoice, the email draft and the client's share page.
No re-keying. No version of the client's name that is subtly wrong on the invoice.
Stage 01
Everything the project needs to exist. Captured in the first conversation.

06 The method
Close a stage and its report asks four questions: what was agreed, what the feedback was, what changed — and what must never happen again.
The do-nots merge into a project-level list that stays pinned to the screen for every stage that follows.
Never, on this project
Stage 03 report · agreed
Warm bronze and off-black direction signed off. Serif wordmark, geometric supporting marks. Client asked for one more route on the icon before Stage 04 opens.
07 The branch
The medium chosen at project creation decides which tools Production ships with. One decision, then the workspace is already correct.
08 Stage 04
If a tool isn't built yet, its slot still exists — named, deadlined, and sitting in the right place in the plan.
Only the content matures. You never open Production to a blank page and have to remember what a brand identity needs.
Tools for Brand Identity. Each slot carries its own deadline and status.
Dashed = not built yet. The slot is still real: it holds a name, a deadline and a place in the sequence, so the plan is never missing a limb.
09 The tools
Overhead on the drawing board. No screens in the first ninety seconds.
The client that almost broke it. Profile framing, never to camera.
Same drawing board. Different hands. Cut on the close.
Segment durations roll up into a live runtime.
Shots inherit the project's do-nots — no talking head over 90 seconds.
10 The calendar
Project deadlines, stage dates and tool due-dates land on the calendar the moment they're set — month or week, nothing typed twice.
Gmail, Discord and WhatsApp threads arrive in the same rail, so a client message never lives in an app you forgot to open.
11 The timeline
Five stages and every tool deadline on the same ruler, with today drawn through them. Slippage is visible weeks before it becomes fatal.
Logged hours sit under each bar, so the estimate and the reality are read side by side rather than argued about afterwards.
Proposed surface. The data already exists — stage dates, tool deadlines, time entries. This view does not.
12 Thinking space
Sticky notes, a mind map and a free-writing pad — opened over any stage with a keystroke, saved against the project, never a separate app to remember.
Anything on this canvas can be sent to the Sample Platter and become a client slide.
13 The hand-off
Any sticky note, mind-map node, mood-board image or brief line can be sent to a running collection, arranged into slide groups and exported as a PDF.
The client presentation stops being a Friday-night job in another app.

14 The client
They get a read-only share link — one page, no login, showing exactly the fields you switched on: where we are, when it lands, what was agreed.
No seat to manage. No half-finished thinking on display. Revoke the token and the link is dead.

15 The business layer
Same client record, same project record — rendered into every document the practice actually has to send.
Contracts
Per-medium, not per-template
A photo shoot contract and a brand identity contract carry different clauses. Both generate from the brief.
Invoices & packages
Rates that already exist
Brand Identity — Standard, R35 000, 2 rounds, 21 days. Priced once, reused forever.
Email templates
In your actual voice
Kickoff, invoice, revision, chase. Tokenised, editable, and written like a person — not a CRM.
"One ask: if there's a reference you love, one you hate, or a hard 'never do this', send it now rather than at revision three. Early is cheap; late is expensive."

16 Documents
Invoices number themselves and split into deposit or balance. Contracts assemble from per-medium clauses at the tier you sold.
Every field — parties, fee, delivery date, revision rounds — is filled from the brief and the package. Edit in place, then export to PDF or HTML.
